Where we create opportunities for youth to grow!

Our Mission/Vision Statement
The mission of the Great Young Minds (GYM) Foundation is to offer enrichment to young people, ages 6 to 21, by providing supplemental educational resources, career and livelihood skills, spiritual enrichment, and leadership development, to realize their highest potential.
This program is more than giving youth a backpack full of school supplies, a box of food, or a free bicycle or X-Box for Christmas from a local charity. This is just another organization giving handouts. We want them to not just survive. We want them to thrive.
Our goal, at the GYM, is to address the needs of youth holistically. This means addressing issues of the mind, body, and spirit.
Although the organization is not classified as a Christian ministry, it is built upon Christ’s principles, specifically the one stated in Matthew 25:35-40, where Jesus explains that acts of kindness toward the vulnerable are done for him.
This program is not about telling youth about Christ and insisting that they go to church service or a youth group meeting, and hear a sermon. It’s about being the church and modeling Christ’s actions, day in and day out, in real time. It’s about being his representatives here on earth–being his hands and his feet.
The goal is to teach and train youth how to live well. We envision having a safe space where young people can come to fill in the emotional, spiritual, social, and educational gaps created by broken families, and a broken educational system, and learn life skills that will enable them to be the best version of themselves.
